Amanda Brainerd will introduce her debut novel, THE AGE OF CONSENT (Viking), in conversation with New Yorker writer Nick Paumgarten, at a McNally Jackson virtual event via Zoom on Tuesday, July 14 at 7:00 pm (ET).
THE AGE OF CONSENT has been described as “a daringly honest, sexy debut novel about three young women coming of age in 1980s New England and New York–a bingeable summer read.” A captivating, timeless novel about friendship, sex, and parental damage, the narrative intimately evokes the heady freedom of ‘80s teenage years.
Brainerd lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, blocks from where she grew up, and attended The Nightingale-Bamford School before going on to graduate from Harvard College and Columbia Architecture.
