PRH Supports Save the Children’s 100 Days of Reading, Teams With zulily for “Buy 1, Give 1” Campaign

Penguin Random House is supporting our longstanding partner Save the Children for its “100 Days of Reading” campaign. The campaign was created to foster continuous learning over the summer months and to ensure that children in rural America, many of whom have limited or no access to books, have the opportunity to keep reading.

While we are directly supporting STC, everyone has the opportunity to make a contribution. Throughout the summer, Save the Children will share tips and activities to help keep kids active and learning. Every click on the library of activities on their website, or engagement through daily activities posted to their Instagram page, results in donations of books, educational material and healthy meals to the children who need them most. All children, parents and adults are encouraged to participate through September 8 to positively impact the lives of children growing up in the rural U.S. who do not have equitable access to early education or literacy tools.

Save the Children has already seen great participation since the launch of the campaign earlier this month, and we celebrate the increased awareness that supports Save the Children’s work to improve literacy and change lives.

To further increase our impact, Penguin Random House is a teaming up with zulily, the online retailer dedicated to bringing special resources to its customers every day, to help provide books to children in need across the nation with a  “Buy 1, Give 1” campaign, which launched on June 24, and continues through August 5. During the “Buy 1, Give 1” summer campaign, special sales events will feature a curated selection of children’s books, and each Penguin Random House book purchased will trigger a new children’s book donation, up to 50,000 books, from Penguin Random House to Save the Children.
