Michelle Zauner may be the first PRH author to perform on NBC-TV’s “Saturday Night Live” as a
musical guest. The Knopf author of CRYING IN H MART, the resonant memoir now in its 43rd week on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction Bestseller list, is equally celebrated as the lead for the indie pop band Japanese Breakfast. The band’s latest album, Jubilee, contended for two GRAMMY Awards earlier this year, including Best New Artist.
Japanese Breakfast appears on SNL’s season finale, airing May 21, at 11:35 p.m. (ET).
