Congratulations to the ten authors, published by Penguin Random House imprints, named as Finalists for the 2022 National Book Awards, For the first time in several years, we will be a contender in each of the five categories with these shortlisters, announced by the National Book Foundation on October 4.
Big shout outs to our publishing teams, especially the editors, behind our shortlisters and longlisters.
The five judging-category groups reconvene in Manhattan on Wednesday, November 16 to deliberate over their respective final choices among the five Finalists, to be announced that evening at the hybrid in-person and Virtual Awards dinner, which will include the presentation of the 2022 Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters (DCAL). to Pantheon author Art Spiegelman.
