Annette Danek Honored With Global “Top 30 Leaders In Supply Chain Award”

The longstanding, trailblazing leadership from Annette Danek, Executive Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer, of our global distribution and fulfillment operations, is widely acknowledged as an indispensable ingredient in Penguin Random House‘s competitive-advantage support of our authors, core imprints and third-party publishing partners, and booksellers.
Her gold-standard accomplishments previously have been recognized by several supply-chain-industry organizations. Most recently, Annette was elected to join the MHI (Material Handling Industry) Board of Governors while continuing her advisory role to WERC (Warehouse Education Research Council).
Now, the incomparable Annette is receiving another salute from her peers: a 2023 coveted Top 30 Leaders in Supply Chain Award, presented by the executive search company Alcott Global, on September 12. Its prominent supply-chain deciders evaluated several hundred candidates’ work on “digitization operations, decarbonization and sustainability, as well as creating a diverse and equitable environment for supply chain teams to thrive and succeed,” based on extensive submitted case studies and supporting evidence.
Danek’s message to the supply chain community: “Our profession will champion ESG [environmental, social, and corporate governance] and change the world. My message is to never stop learning, learn from each other, find your diamonds in the rough and teach them what you know. Grow outside of your own industry, volunteer your time, teach a class, and mentor as many people as you can along the way. This way you will always be surrounded by great people.”
Long based in our Westminster, Maryland facility, Danek has temporarily relocated to the UK to support our PRH UK colleagues with their supply-chain efforts. She leads the PRH global distribution and logistics council and facilitates global-knowledge sharing.
