Brightly Launches New Navigation Featuring Ages & Stages

Brightly, our website dedicated to helping parents, caregivers, and educators find books and reading tips for every age and stage of a child’s life, recently launched a new top navigation to enhance discovery and provide a better path for users to find articles and recommendations.
The new navigation showcases Ages & Stages: Baby & Toddler (0-2), Pre-K (3-5), Growing Reader (6-8), Tween (9-12), and Teen (13+). Each age features a set of editorially-curated topics and articles, in addition to pointing to the Age & Stage category pages that were redesigned last year.
With this new nav we will have a lot more flexibility to highlight articles, campaigns, or themes in support of initiatives such as our Summer Reading efforts and the recently launched Educational Resources and Activities Hub.
We focused on mobile optimization with these new designs as we see 56% of our traffic now coming to us from mobile. User feedback is an important part of our design and development process and we conducted multiple rounds of user-testing to ensure we were meeting the expectations and needs of our audience.
