Celebrate National Literacy Month With zulily On “Buy 1, Give 1” Campaign, Help Donate Books to Children Nationwide
To celebrate National Literacy Month this November, Penguin Random House is excited to once again team up with online retailer zulily, to help provide books to children in need across the U.S. with charity partner, First Book.
zulily’s holiday giving “Buy 1, Donate 1” campaign launched October 28 and continues through December 9. Sales events during the campaign will feature curated, themed selections and each Penguin Random House book purchased will trigger a new children’s book donation (up to 75,000 books) from Penguin Random House to our longtime charitable partner, First Book, a nonprofit social enterprise that provides new books and other essentials to children in need nationwide.
“The gift of a book can make such a positive difference in the lives of children, especially at the holidays,” said Jaci Updike, President of Sales, Penguin Random House US. “We are proud to be teaming up with zulily and First Book to help bring the love of books and reading to communities in need.”
