Kimberly Drew and Jenna Wortham Celebrate the Release of BLACK FUTURES via Zoom (12/10)

Join a conversation with editors Kimberly Drew and Jenna Wortham, photographer Texas Isaiah and designer Pierre Davis (No Sesso), as they celebrate the release of BLACK FUTURES (One World) at a virtual event hosted by the California African American Museum in partnership with Scripps College via Zoom on Thursday, December 10 at 8:00 pm (ET). 

Assembled by writer, curator, and activist Kimberly Drew and New York Times staff writer Jenna Wortham, BLACK FUTURES is a rich collection of images, essays, dialogues, recipes, tweets, poetry, and more. They tell the story of the radical, imaginative, provocative, and gorgeous world that Black creators are bringing forth today. The book presents a succession of startling and beautiful pieces that generate an entrancing rhythm. Readers will go from conversations with activists and academics to memes and Instagram posts, from powerful essays to dazzling paintings and insightful infographics.
