Marlon James to be Featured on The Politics of Fiction NYT Panel via NYTimes.com (9/16)
Marlon James, whose most recent book is BLACK LEOPARD RED WOLF (Riverhead), will be part of The Politics of Fiction virtual discussion with book critic Parul Sehgal and fellow writers Ayad Akhtar and Rachel Kushner, presented by The New York Times via NYTimes.com on Wednesday, September 16 at 4:30 pm (ET).
In the midst of a global pandemic, a national struggle toward racial justice and a profoundly consequential U.S. election, this moment can be difficult to grasp. Can fiction help us make sense of it all and better understand what lies ahead? Do fiction writers have any responsibilities toward current events? Do readers? These questions will be addressed by the panelists as they explore the intersection of fiction with our current political realities.
