Murder By the Book Presents Emily Schultz and Halley Sutton Discussing Their Mystery Novels via YouTube Live (11/11)

A joint virtual event with Emily Schultz, author LITTLE THREATS (Putnam), and Halley Sutton, author of THE LADY UPSTAIRS (Putnam), will be hosted by Murder By the Book via YouTube Live on Wednesday, November 11 at 8:00 pm (ET).

Both a taut whodunit and a haunting snapshot of the effects of a violent crime, LITTLE THREATS tells the story of a woman who served fifteen years in prison for murder…and now it’s time to find out if she’s guilty.

A delicious debut thriller crackling with wit and an unforgettable feminist voice, THE LADY UPSTAIRS is a chilling and endlessly surprising take on female revenge.

Emily Schultz is the cofounder of the influential Joyland magazine and also author of The Blondes. It was named a Best Book of 2015 by NPR, BookPage, and Kirkus Reviews. Schultz’s writing has appeared in Elle, Slate, Evergreen Review, Vice, Hazlitt, and Prairie Schooner. She is is currently a producer at indie media company Heroic Collective and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and son.

Halley Sutton is a writer and editor who lives in Los Angeles. She is a Pitch Wars mentor and holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from the University of California Santa Cruz, and a master’s degree in writing from Otis College of Art and Design.
