Penguin Random House authors Elizabeth Strout and  NoViolet Bulawayo will be receiving one of the literary world’s most coveted dinner invitations. They are asked to attend the 2022 Booker Prize London ceremony on October 17 as two of the six finalists selected by the judges’ panel, and announced September 6.

These finalists were selected from the 13 long listed titles presented in July. The Prize is open to works by writers of any nationality written by them in English and published in the U.K. or Ireland.

Our shortlisters were, or will be, published between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022 by a PRH UK imprint, and by us in the U.S. and Canada.

Congratulations to our finalists,  also to our longlisted titles, and to their editors and publishing teams across PRH, as honorees for the U.K.’s most internationally prestigious fiction-literature annual award.

Fingers crossed we will carry forward our Booker-winning mojo from Damon Galgut’s “The Promise,” last year’s winner, and previous year’s co-winners Bernardine Evaristo’s “Girl, Woman, Other,” and Margaret Atwood’s “The Testaments,” on behalf of our current contenders.
