Winners of the 2020 Costa Book Awards, one of the UK’s most prestigious and popular literary prizes, have been announced. The award in the First Novel category went to Ingrid Persaud, author of LOVE AFTER LOVE, published by One World in the United States and Canada.

Described by the judges as “an exuberant, outstanding novel, teeming with life, full of unforgettable characters and written with such brio and style,” LOVE AFTER LOVE questions who and how we love, the obligations of family, and the consequences of choices made in desperation. The New York Times Book Review called the book “a stellar debut.”

Congratulations to Ms. Persaud, her editor, Nicole Counts, and the entire One World team.
