Random House Virtual Events presents One World Ideas x Action, with Karla Cornejo Villavicencio, author of THE UNDOCUMENTED AMERICANS (One World), and Quiara Alegria Hudes, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and an author of an upcoming memoir, moderated by One World executive editor Elizabeth Mendez Berry via Zoom on Thursday, April 30 at 8:00pm (ET).

Villavicencio, one of the first undocumented immigrants to graduate from Harvard, reveals the hidden lives of her fellow undocumented Americans in a deeply personal and groundbreaking portrait of a nation. She has also written about immigration, music, beauty, and mental illness for The New York Times, The Atlantic, The New Republic, Glamour, Elle, Vogue, n+1, and The New Inquiry, among others. She lives in New Haven with her partner and their dog.

Quiara Alegría Hudes is a playwright, lyricist and essayist. She wrote the the book for the Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights. She won the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for her play Water by the Spoonful.
