Oakland, California | In-Person | Saturday, September 21: Celebrate GROWING UP UNDER A RED FLAG by Ying Chang Compestine at the 7th Annual Children’s Book Festival at at  Children’s Fairyland. GROWING UP UNDER A RED FLAG is a stirring and magnificently illustrated picture-book memoir of the author’s childhood during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Click here for more details.  

Washington, D.C. | In-Person | Saturday, September 22: Discover a masterpiece of narrative reporting at Politics and Prose. LUCKY LOSER by Russ Buettner and Susan Craig is a meticulous examination spanning nearly a century, filled with scoops from Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago, Atlantic City, and the set of The Apprentice. Buettner and Craig will be in conversation with Peter Baker, the chief White House correspondent for The New York Times, a political analyst for MSNBC, and the author of Days of Fire and The Breach.
