PBS/NYT Book Club October Pick is Nate Blakeslee’s AMERICAN WOLF
Crown Publishing Group is thrilled to share the news that PBS and the New York Times selected Nate Blakeslee’s AMERICAN WOLF (Crown/Broadway Books) for their October Book Club. This title was an Amazon Best Science Book of the Year Selection, a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Selection, an IndieBound Bestseller, an NPR Science Friday Best Science Book of the Year Selection, and received numerous other accolades.
Nate appeared on CBS and WBUR “On Point” to talk about the book, which received tremendous reviews. The Associated Press called the book, “A masterful and elegant tale,” and Rick Bass wrote in The New York Times Book Review that “AMERICAN WOLF takes its place in a long lineage of wolf books. … [T]here are cherished, striking images here…testament to the ever-flowing life force that is the wolf.”
Of the PBS/NYT book club selection, Nate said, “It’s very gratifying to see AMERICAN WOLF chosen for this. On the tour I heard from a number of readers who told me their own book clubs normally read only fiction, but decided to give my book a try because they ‘heard it was a good story.’ I’m so glad the book appeals in that way, and hope this selection brings it to a whole new group of readers.”
