Penguin Random House Donates RHCB and PYR Children’s Titles to Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh
In the wake of the tragic Pittsburgh synagogue shooting last month, Kristen Keller, a librarian at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh in Squirrel Hill “turned to books” for grief support. After she created a “wish list” for her library, Penguin Random House Sales and Customer Service quickly responded, setting in motion donations of multiple copies of such Random House Children’s Books titles as ALL ARE WELCOME, WE RISE, WE RESIST, WE RAISE OUR VOICES, ELMORE, THE FOREVER TREE and I WALK WITH VANESSA: A Story About a Simple Act of Kindness and such Penguin Young Readers titles as HARBOR ME, LOVE and THE RABBIT LISTENED.
“Books can put things into words that we can’t come up with ourselves,” Ms. Keller told The Christian Science Monitor.
