Penguin Random House Joins LitWorld to Celebrate 15th Annual World Read Aloud Day

Penguin Random House is thrilled to celebrate the fifteen annual World Read Aloud Day today, February 7, in partnership with LitWorld, a non-profit organization that aims to strengthen children and communities by using literacy as a tool and pathway for self-empowerment.

World Read Aloud Day focuses on the power of reading aloud to create community and amplify new stories, and to advocate for literacy as a foundational human right. With virtual read-alouds, live events, activities and resources, World Read Aloud Day has a variety of engaging tools to inspire kids around the globe to read out loud.

Check out the WRAD Activity Hub here.

Since then, World Read Aloud Day has evolved into a global movement of millions of readers, writers, and listeners from communities all across the world coming together to honor the joy and power of reading and continue expanding the definition and scope of global literacy.
