PRH Partners with Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park to Promote Literacy
PRH donated copies of the Penguin Classics paperback edition.
Last month, Penguin Random House supported Shakespeare-In-The-Park in Syracuse, N.Y. by donating copies of MERCHANT OF VENICE (Penguin Classics). The theatrical company put on three shows based on the play by William Shakespeare featuring an all-female cast where each attendee received a free book.
This is the second year PRH has donated books to the organization; the previous summer, 100 copies of MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM and 100 copies of MACBETH were donated.
Syracuse Shakespeare-In-The-Park says its mission “is to bring the beauty, poetry and language of Shakespeare to everyone in Central New York especially school-aged children and seniors.” Visit their website to learn more about future performances and what they do.
