Watch the Trailer for Oct. 14 Film Adaptation of R. J. Palacio’s WHITE BIRD
The first trailer for the movie adaptation of R. J. Palacio’s New York Times bestselling WHITE BIRD: A Wonder Story (Knopf Books for Young Readers) has been released by Lionsgate. Helen Mirren and Gillian Anderson star in the film, which opens in theaters nationwide October 14, and is directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland).
Like Wonder, WHITE BIRD demonstrates the power of kindness to change hearts, build bridges, and even save lives in the darkest of times.
Forster told People magazine that he was “instantly drawn to this story about the power of hope and friendship in the midst of strife, themes I felt audiences could experience together in such a significant way. I read WHITE BIRD during the first phase of the pandemic while the world was experiencing a very isolating (and divisive) time.”
