Penguin Random House Expands Relationship With Disney to Publish Popular Stories

Penguin Random House LLC has signed new license agreements with Disney Publishing to publish beloved stories and create original content for fans of all ages. The agreements extend Disney’s existing relationship with PRH, which has had a licensed program with Disney for over two decades and has handled sales and distribution for Disney’s adult and children’s print books since 2023. Dial Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers, announced today that Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the internationally bestselling author/illustrator duo, will return to the world of their most successful and beloved character with a brand new as-yet-untitled Gruffalo story in September 2026. Philip Pullman Announces Epic Finale to Lyra’s Story in Vol. Three of THE BOOK OF DUST

On Tuesday, April 29, Philip Pullman announced the long-awaited and highly anticipated conclusion to his bestselling The Book of Dust series (La Belle Sauvage, The Secret Commonwealth). The final volume, titled THE ROSE FIELD, will be published on October 23, 2025, in the U.S. by the Alfred A. Knopf imprint of Random House Children’s Books and in the UK by David Fickling Books in association with Penguin Random House UK. Chris Wormell will create the jacket and chapter opening illustrations and Michael Sheen will return to narrate the audiobook, which will release simultaneously. Continue reading →

PRH, The Authors Guild, and the EBMA File Amicus Brief in the Case of Mahmoud v. Taylor

Penguin Random House (PRH), The Authors Guild, and the Educational Book and Media Association (EBMA) have jointly submitted an amicus brief on April 9, 2025 to the United States Supreme Court in the case of Mahmoud v. Taylor. The Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case yesterday, April 22, 2025.
