Our Indies Choice Book Awards Shortlisters

The American Booksellers Association (ABA) recently released shortlists in seven categories for the 2026 Indies Choice Book Awards. This year, the ABA relaunched the awards program, which had been on hiatus since 2019.

These awards celebrate the best Adult Fiction, Adult Nonfiction, Children’s Picture Books, Middle Grade, Young Adult, Debut Adult and Debut Children’s voted by indie booksellers. The shortlist recognizes five titles from each category, and we’re thrilled to share that Penguin Random House titles were recognized in every category! Continue reading →

RHCB Increases First Printing for New Dr. Seuss Book, SING THE 50 UNITED STATES!, to 1 Million Copies

Following the October announcement of the newly discovered Dr. Seuss manuscript SING THE 50 UNITED STATES! (on sale June 2, 2026), Random House Children’s Books (RHCB) announced on March 13 that it will increase the book’s first printing from 500,000 to 1 million copies in response to soaring demand. The increase was shared by Judith Haut, EVP, Deputy Publisher, Random House Children’s Books.
