Penguin Young Readers has partnered with Ladybird, an imprint of Penguin Random House UK, to develop and publish select books for young readers in the U.S. market. The new Ladybird line will live within the Penguin Workshop imprint, led by President & Publisher Francesco Sedita and will be directed by Cecily Kaiser, Publishing Director, Rise x Penguin Workshop and World of Eric Carle. The inaugural list will launch this fall with three paper-over-board picture books from Rhiannon Fielding’s globally bestselling TEN MINUTES TO BED series: Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn, Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn’s Christmas, and Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Dinosaur. Upcoming lists will include the launch of BABY TOUCH, a first concepts series that introduces colors, shapes, and numbers, as well as peekaboo, nighttime and vehicles; and the LITTLE WORLD series that introduces pre-schoolers to high-interest destinations such as the jungle, the farm, the beach, and even the moon.
