For this Random House Virtual event, “Meet the Bookstagrammer,” Random House social media associate Megan Tripp (who also runs the Bookstagram account @BooksnBlazers) introduces us to the faces behind some of our favorite bookstagram accounts on Instagram. Meet Bezi of @beingabookwyrm. Brightly’s Summer Reading Portal is Live!

Brightly, our website dedicated to helping parents, caregivers, and educators find books and reading tips for every age and stage of a child’s life, has launched a summer reading portal, featuring book lists and a summer reading challenge. Though this summer looks very different from most, kids can continue reading and having fun with our Summer Reading Bingo game — which encourages kids and teens to expand their reading horizons with prompts like “read a book about activism” and “read a book set in the past.” Continue reading

Ibram X. Kendi’s HOW T0 BE AN ANTIRACIST To Be Published In Spanish By Vintage Español

Vintage Español will publish the Spanish-language edition of Ibram X. Kendi’s number-one New York Times bestseller How to Be an Antiracist. The publication, scheduled for October 27, will mark the first time this landmark book will be available in Spanish in the U.S. and Canada. CÓMO SER ANTIRRACISTA will be published simultaneously in trade paperback and ebook by Vintage Español, and as an audiobook in Spanish by Penguin Random House Audio. The READ TOGETHER, BE TOGETHER E-Hotline Is Now Open

As part of the READ TOGETHER, BE TOGETHER mission to celebrate the importance, and power, of the shared reading experience between an adult and a child (read our most recent Igloo post about the initiative here ), we’ve launched an e-hotline to help build children’s home libraries with the right books at the right time.
