There’s a Book for That: Mars!

This week begins the window for NASA’s launch of the Mars rover “Perseverance.” According to NASA’s MARS 2020 site, “The Perseverance rover will seek signs of ancient life and collect rock and soil samples for possible return to Earth.” That return to earth is scheduled for February 18, 2021. HBO to Air Special Production Based on Ta-Nehisi Coates’ BETWEEN THE WORLD AND ME This Fall

HBO is presenting a special production based on Ta-Nehisi Coates’ National Book Award-winning, New York Times bestselling book, BETWEEN THE WORLD AND ME (One World), this Fall, it was announced in The Hollywood Reporter. Originally adapted by Harlem’s Apollo Theater in 2018, this special will feature readings from the book as well as documentary and archival footage, plus animation. Our U. S., UK, and Canada imprints are the publishers of 6 of the 13 authors whose books have just been longlisted for this year’s Booker Prize.

Colum McCann, Kiley Reid, Anne Tyler, and C Pam Zhang are among the authors selected by the current panel of judges, which include Lee Child, ultimately determining the winner of one of the world’s most distinguished literary-fiction prizes, from titles published in the English language between October 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020.
