THE SNOWY DAY Forever Stamps to be Issued on October 4

The United States Postal Service is featuring scenes from the beloved classic children’s book, THE SNOWY DAY, on their “forever” stamps. The stamps depict Peter, the main character of Ezra Jack Keats’ famous, award-winning Viking Books for Young Readers title, and will be dedicated at a free ceremony open to the public on October 4 at the Brooklyn Public Library in New York. Orhan Pamuk, the first Turkish Nobel Laureate and the author of ten novels, will headline a special Politics & Prose event at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Washington, D.C. on September 28 at 7:00 p.m. Pamuk will present his newest novel THE RED-HAIRED WOMAN (Knopf), in conversation with Azar Nafisi, author of such books as The Republic of Imagination and Reading Lolita in Tehran. Big Crowd of Book Buyers Turn Out for Erwin Raphael McManus Event

Author and LA pastor Erwin Raphael McManus spoke to a packed house at his Barnes & Noble book-signing event Wednesday night at The Grove in Los Angeles. His new book, THE LAST ARROW: Save Nothing for the Next Life, published by WaterBrook on September 5, is a bold manifesto for a life of passion, adventure, and hope. As McManus explains through his words and his own life story, everyone is living out their last days—and no one needs to settle for less than all life has to offer. Dutton Acquires Debut Novel by Hank Green

Christine Ball, Senior Vice President, Publisher, Dutton, announced this week the acquisition of AN ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE THING, the first novel by Hank Green, best known for his enormously popular Vlogbrothers YouTube channel, which he created with his brother, John Green.
