Penguin Random House Education Delivers Classroom Libraries

Penguin Random House Education brought its commitment to literacy and promoting reading to a new level a few weeks ago with a personal delivery of Classroom Libraries to P.S. 273 Wortman in Brooklyn. Earlier this summer, the school reached out to us to help support their students’ literacy growth with Classroom Libraries.

When we learned they had no way to move books into the building, we gathered a small team of PRH volunteers: Travis Temple, Director, Sales PreK-12 Education; Sean Williams, Manager, Sales Operations; and Ayeshia Meite, Sales Assistant, Education. The team made the journey out to the school on a rainy Monday morning to receive the shipment and unpack the books into the building. Continue reading →

Brightly Storytime Passes 100,000 Subscribers on YouTube

Brightly Storytime, the YouTube channel of ReadBrightly.com that features video read-alongs of PRH picture books, passed 100,000 subscribers earlier this month. This puts it in approximately the top .61% of all YouTube channels. Ballantine Author Doree Shafrir Reminds Us to Live Life at Our Own Pace

Doree Shafrir, author of THANKS FOR WAITING: The Joy (& Weirdness) of Being a Late Bloomer, published by Ballantine, reminds readers that it’s OK to live life at your own speed. Author Jason Mott Listens to His Own True Voice, Writes HELL OF A BOOK

Our new Igloo Book Buzz selection is Jason Mott’s HELL OF A BOOK, published by Dutton today. It was also just announced that the book was selected as a Read with Jenna TODAY Show Book Club pick.
