Dr. Seuss Stories and Characters Coming to Life in New Netflix Animated Programming

Netflix and Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced they will bring some of the most iconic and beloved stories and characters created by Dr. Seuss to life with five new animated preschool series and specials. The projects are inspired by several beloved Dr. Seuss books published by Random House Children’s Books, including Horton Hears a Who!; The Sneetches; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; and Wacky Wednesday, in addition to memorable characters like Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose. Putnam Author C. J. Box Wins the 2022 Spur Award for Contemporary Novel

The Western Writers of America (WWA) announced its 2022 Spur Award winners on Saturday, March 12, at the Tucson Festival of Books and #1 New York Times bestselling G.P. Putnam’s Sons author C. J. Reese Witherspoon to Publish Debut Picture Book With Penguin Young Readers

Reese Witherspoon, Academy-award winning actress, producer, and New York Times bestselling author, will publish her debut picture book, BUSY BETTY, with Flamingo Books, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers. Inspired by Reese herself, and featuring vibrant illustrations by Xindi Yan, BUSY BETTY features a creative, curious, and exuberant young girl who has big plans and an even bigger heart. The multi-book deal for North American rights was brokered by Margaret Anastas, VP & Publisher, Flamingo Books, and Creative Artists Agency. Knopf to Publish Congresswoman Cori Bush’s Memoir in October

Alfred A. Knopf will publish THE FORERUNNER: A Memoir by Congresswoman Cori Bush, one of America’s most transformative politicians and activists, on October 3, 2022. The announcement was made by Knopf EVP and Publisher, Reagan Arthur. US rights were acquired from Esther Newberg and Zoe Sandler at ICM Partners. The book will be published in hardcover and ebook, and in audio by Penguin Random House, narrated by the author; it will be published in paperback by Vintage next year. Continue reading →

One World is proud to announce the Ideas in Action Workshop: an inclusive space to give creatives direct access to our authors, as well as strengthen the trust, resource-sharing, and support between readers and writers. As there are so few writing spaces dedicated to writers of color and marginalized voices, we would like to leverage our unique position as a publisher of books that intentionally change the culture and create community. To this end, Penguin Random House will fully fund this workshop – all attendees will participate free of charge.
