PRH & School Library Journal Join PEN America, NCTE, NCAC, and FReadom to Create Original Poster for Freedom to Read

To show support for authors, illustrators, students, parents, librarians, and teachers, Penguin Random House and School Library Journal have partnered with PEN America, the National Coalition Against Censorship, the National Council of Teachers of English, FReadom, and Library Journal to create a poster that emphasizes the importance of free expression as book bans and challenges spread across the country. Ozeki, Shipstead Finalsts for 2022 Women’s Prize for Fiction

The six-title shortlist for the 2022 Women’s Prize for Fiction has been announced and includes two books published by Penguin Random House imprints in the U.S. and one from a PRH UK imprint. The UK-based prize annually recognizes and highlights the best fiction written by women from all over the globe. PRH & PYR Donate 10,000 Books to Local Teacher on TODAY Show Teacher Appreciation Segment

As part of the “TODAY Celebrates Teachers” series on the TODAY Show yesterday, Penguin Random House and Penguin Young Readers collectively donated 10,000 books to support Virginia fifth-grade teacher Jenny Williams. Mia P. Manansala’s Berkley debut, ARSENIC AND ADOBO, won this year’s Agatha Award for Best First Novel. Anchor to Publish Bestselling YA Author Nicola Yoon’s First Novel for Adults in 2024

Anchor Books will publish #1 New York Times bestselling author Nicola Yoon’s first novel for adults, ONE OF OUR KIND, in 2024. The announcement was made by Anchor Books EVP, Publisher Suzanne Herz. US rights were acquired from Jodi Reamer, Senior Agent at Writers House Literary Agency in a heated auction.
