The American Library Association customarily begins each new year by organizing and hosting the presentation of numerous of literary and cultural awards and citations which recognize excellence in the previous year’s picture, Children’s, and young adult books and audios, across a variety of categories and genres. As previously reported, Kyle Lukoff’s TOO BRIGHT TO SEE and WONDER WALKERS by Micha Archer received Newbery and Caldecott Honors, respectively, and Malinda Lo and Lisa Fipps were named winners of Michael L. Printz Honors for LAST NIGHT AT THE TELEGRAPH CLUB and STARFISH.

New Ian McEwan Novel, LESSONS, Coming from Knopf in September 2022

Alfred A. Knopf and Vintage Books will publish Ian McEwan’s new novel, LESSONS. Knopf EVP and Publisher Reagan Arthur acquired US rights from Georges Borchardt at Georges Borchardt, Inc. Literary Agency for publication on September 13, 2022 with an announced first printing of 100,000 copies. The book will be published in hardcover and as an eBook, and in audio by Penguin Random House; it will be published in trade paper by Vintage the following year. Jonathan Cape in the UK and Alfred A.
