Danielle Evans Wins the 2021 Joyce Carol Oates Prize

Danielle Evans, author of THE OFFICE OF HISTORICAL CORRECTIONS: A Novella and Stories (Riverhead Books), has been named the 2021 Joyce Carol Oates Prize winner by the New Literary Project (formerly the Simpson Literary Project). Knopf to Publish New Novel by Acclaimed Nigerian Writer Ayobami Adebayo in 2022

Knopf will publish a new book by Ayobami Adebayo, whose debut novel, STAY WITH ME, was released to wide acclaim in 2017. Her new novel, A SPELL OF GOOD THINGS, is the story of two families in Nigeria at opposite ends of the economic spectrum, whose lives collide when political turmoil erupts in their city. Crown to Publish Ai Weiwei’s Memoir 1000 YEARS OF JOYS AND SORROWS in November

Crown, an imprint of the Random House Publishing Group, will publish 1000 YEARS OF JOYS AND SORROWS, the highly anticipated memoir from Ai Weiwei, one of the world’s most important living artists, on November 2, 2021. A global publishing event, 1000 YEARS OF JOYS AND SORROWS will be translated into thirteen languages with rights already placed in fifteen markets. The book will be published in hardcover and digital formats by Crown, and an audio edition will be simultaneously released by Penguin Random House Audio. World rights were acquired by Crown from Peter Bernstein and Amy Bernstein at Bernstein Literary Agency, with SVP & Publisher Gillian Blake and Executive Editor Libby Burton editing. Joshua Bennett Receives Whiting Award and Guggenheim Fellowship

Penguin Random House poet and author Joshua Bennett won a 2021 Whiting Award for Poetry, Nonfiction.
