Penguin Random House Touts Sci-Fi & Fantasy Titles and Authors at Emerald City Comic Con

Last week in Seattle, readers attending Emerald City Comic Con had a special opportunity. In partnership with ReedPOP and the Emerald City Comic Con Writer’s Block Program, Del Rey and Penguin Publishing Group hosted exclusive book club events during the show. Penguin Publishing Group selected SALVATION DAY by Kali Wallace (Berkley, on sale July 9) as the featured title for the science fiction book club. Three of Our Authors Win 2019 Lukas Prizes

The Columbia Journalism School and the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard have announced the winners of the 2019 J. Anthony Lukas Prize Project Awards, with three of the five prizes going to one Crown and two Penguin Press authors. They will receive their awards at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 7, at the Nieman Foundation in Cambridge, MA. Established in 1998, the Lukas Prizes recognize excellence in American nonfiction writing from both published books and works in progress on history and topics of American political or social concern. Tommy Orange Wins 2019 PEN/Hemingway Award—His 3rd Prestigious First-Novel Prize—for THERE THERE

PEN America announces that Knopf author Tommy Orange’s acclaimed debut, THERE THERE, has won the 2019 PEN/Hemingway Award, which honors a distinguished first novel.
