Knopf Author Carolina de Robertis Awarded John Dos Passos Prize

Knopf’s Carolina De Robertis, the Uruguyana-American author of THE PRESIDENT AND THE FROG (2021) and CANTORAS (2019), was awarded the 41^st John Dos Passos Prize last week by Longwood University.

The award is given annually to an American creative writer who has produced a substantial body of significant publication that displays characteristics of John Dos Passos’s writing: an intense and original exploration of specifically American themes, an experimental approach to form, and an interest in a wide range of human experiences.

Penguin Press Author, Paul La Farge, Passed Away

Paul La Farge, inventive novelist of the novels THE NIGHT OCEAN, THE ARTIST OF THE MISSING, HAUSSMANN, OR THE DISTINCTION, and LUMINOUS AIRPLANES, as well as THE FACTS OF WINTER, a book of imaginary dream, passed way at the age of fifty-two. His wife said the cause was cancer.
