A Very Visual Year – 2018 Highlights from PRH Digital Video

“This was another banner year for our video team,” says Richard Wylde, Promotions Manager, Penguin Random House Digital Video. “The final numbers are still coming in, but in the past twelve months we’ve worked with more than 400 authors, made over 900 videos, and generated over 6 million views. We worked with divisions and verticals across the company to produce, shoot, edit, distribute, promote, and stream videos, and our studio has been revamped to produce podcasts and virtual media tours. At its Annual Benefit & Awards Dinner on Tuesday, December 11, the Center for Fiction presented awards to Sonny Mehta, Chairman and Editor in Chief of the Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, and to Penguin Random House authors Toni Morrison and Tommy Orange. Authors Guild Foundation and Penguin Random House Bring Writing Bootcamps to Six US Cities

With a shared mission of empowering and publishing authors from all backgrounds, the Authors Guild Foundation and Penguin Random House are partnering to produce a series of Writing Business Bootcamps across the country. Available at no charge to participants due in part to an award from the National Endowment of the Arts, from the end of 2018 through spring 2019 six bootcamps will be held in underserved communities nationwide. WaterBrook Author LaTasha Morrison Receiving Up to $1 Million for “Be the Bridge,” Joins Facebook Community Leadership Program

LaTasha Morrison, author of BE THE BRIDGE: Moving Toward Racial Reconciliation, to be published by WaterBrook next fall (10/15/19), and founder of the non-profit Be the Bridge, an organization that focuses on racial reconciliation, was recently selected as a Resident in Facebook’s Community Leadership Program.
